About

In central South Louisiana sits Scott, Louisiana - the Boudin Capital of the World and home to the Scott Boudin Festival. In 2012, the City of Scott was named the "Boudin Capital of the World" by the Louisiana Legislature. Scott is the epicenter of Boudin through the successful and hardworking owners and staff of - Don's Specialty Meats, The Best Stop Supermarket, Billy's Boudin, Menard's Grocery, Nunu's Grocery, and Kartchner's in Scott.

Boudin, a spicy Cajun sausage, is a Cajun favorite for breakfast, a snack, or simple meal. Boudin is traditionally a blend of cooked pork, rice, onions, and seasonings stuffed into a sausage casing. However, Boudin get creative with fillings like crawfish, shrimp, deer, cauliflower, chicken, or beef. Boudin can also be found fried in a ball, stuffed with cheese, or used as a filling for eggrolls, bread, and king cake. The possibilities are endless for our favorite Cajun treat!

In these ten years, the Scott Boudin Festival has gone from a novice upstart festival, into a regional and statewide award-winning event for five years in a row! The Scott Boudin Festival Association puts on this event with the support and contributions of Service Chevrolet, major sponsors, including Lafayette Travel, City of Scott, Don's Specialty Meats, KATC News, KLFY News, Targil, Waste Connections, and Lafayette Limo and Trolley, along with seventy-four other community sponsors.
